This site is run by the large oaf you see to the left and in case you hadn't put 2 & 2 together my name is Dave Hildebrand. I have been in IT since 2002, in both the retail and business sectors. I received my formal training from Confederation College in Thunder Bay, Ontario. In 2002 I graduated with a diploma in Electronic Engineering: Technician, a two year course that covered everything from basic electronic theory to AM/FM radio, to networking and computer systems. The experience provided me with the troubleshooting skills I use everyday and gave me a great foundation to further my education every day. Since January 2003 I have been working at the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre in the Information Systems department. I am the Systems Administrator for the hospital and its 300+ users. I manage over 200 systems & servers, the telephone system and anything the powers that be think is tech related. On July 2nd, 2005, I married the love of my life. Kristi and I have made a home in Sioux Lookout with our 3 cats (Sullivan, Mittens & Smudge) and dog (Peaches). In 2007 and 2010 we added 2 more to the already busy house. Keely was born in December 2007 and has been talking ever since. Her brother Andrew arrived in January 2010. He’s been pulling her hair since soon after coming home from the hospital. |
